DVD: Cube: Zero

A group of people wake up inside a cube made up of square rooms, full of deadly traps. When two workers monitoring their actions think one of the group may be in there by mistake, Eric Wynn (Zachary Bennett) decides to help her escape...


In the same way that Alien3 went back to its roots, this third movie in the Cube franchise takes things back to a simpler story by setting the action once again in a low-tech cube. What’s new in this prequel story is a look at what goes on behind the scenes of the Cube project. The glimpse of men just doing their job – even when that involves killing people in horrific ways – is chilling.

Of course, like the previous films this doesn’t completely unravel the mysteries of who is in control and when questions are answered others rise to take their place. While this is a mildly interesting addition to the series, it also undoes some of the good work from the original Cube movie.
